SPRING ACCESSORIES
Ok, so I guess I'm a little late, but SPRING has officially SPRUNG and it appears as though people have embraced it wholeheartedly, because everyone's rocking spring colors and have already even started sporting hot summer hues! GOTTA LOVE IT! My faves this year are classic mint and bright yellow.
I was recently at a CC Skye Sample Sale and noticed that all sorts of drool-worthy accessories in fun, vibrant shades are going to be the must-have items for these lovely warm seasons.
Take a look at the oh~so~chic Neon Riviera Cuff ! Could it be any more fantastic?! It's the perfect mix of edgy and sexy - most definitely a statement piece. Love the pin closure for added glam & security because you surely won't want to lose this baby!
Here's another one of my MANY, MANY favorite CC Skye pieces.
AHH-MAZING colors, are adorned with eye-catching, stylish pyramid studs, crafted in durable suede/leather and best of all are sooo versatile! Wear one while out dancing or, if you're lucky enough to be attending, they make the best addition to your COACHELLA wardrobe! Heck, you can even toss it in your everyday handbag and use it as wallet! Possibilies are endless, and why limit yourself?
It's a tough choice & I love them in every color, but if I were forced to choose I'd go with the cobalt blue suede or hot pink leather! *SWOON*
OK, everybody ~ get out there... slather on some SPF , enjoy shopping for acessories in mood~boosting shades (or for whatever makes you happy) & best of all, take in the beautiful weather!
XOXO ~ Jules

Revive Those Tired Eyes!
I looked in the mirror this morning and realized, much to my dismay, that I've got enough luggage under my eyes to take not one, but TWO trips around the world
~ Not good!
So, if you're anything like me, you're definitely feeling the effect of the dreaded Daylight Savings time change and too much computer usage, most likely right under your eyes.
Although it's great to see the sun out for a longer period of time, it sure does take a toll on our much-needed beauty rest.
Even if you reside in a place where Daylight Savings is non-existent, and just want a quick pick-me-up that'll help revive those tired eyes and shake off that sluggish feeling, try this great home remedy ...
What you'll need :
- Teapot
- Tea Kettle with boiling water
- Diffuser
- 5 heaping tablespoons of fresh, chopped mint leaves
- 1 Chamomile teabag or 1 heaping teaspoon of loose chamomile tea
- Ice cube trays (enough to hold 24 ice cubes)
First, boil some water in your tea kettle and let
sit while you prepare. Next, chop up some fresh mint (enough for about 5 heaping tablespoons). Now, take your diffuser and place it in your teapot. Place the fresh, chopped mint leaves and 1 chamomile teabag or 1 heaping tablespoon of loose chamomile tea, in the diffuser. Pour the water from your tea kettle into your teapot, cover the teapot, and let steep for about 10 minutes, or until lukewarm. Once tea is cooled, remove the diffuser and pour the tea from your teapot into ice cube trays
(this should yield about 24 ice cubes).
Place ice trays in freezer and wait about 5 hours. Once ice cubes are completely frozen, remove from icetray and place desired quantity in a bowl. I like to use cheesecloth and wrap each cube in it, but if it's too cold for you, you can wrap each cube in a paper towel and once slightly damp, place over eyes.
The calming and soothing effect of the chamomile paired with the fresh feeling of the mint are the perfect fix for your tired eyes and also helps in getting rid of dark circles. Additionally, the cool ice helps constrict blood vessels, which in turn aids in getting rid of that unsightly puffiness!
Voila! Now you're relaxed and your gourgeous eyes are
VIBRANT and REVIVED !
Keep leftover ice cubes in the freezer for another day of pampering or throw some in your water for a refreshing kick!
Enjoy :)

Dream Job Interview
I've been actively seeking a job that will appreciate my love of all things FASHION and ENTERTAINMENT for quite some time now...sooo, after submitting countless resumes today *sigh*, I started daydreaming of The Devil Wears Prada ~ hence the masterpiece you see before you (humor me)! Using my beloved Polyvore, I decided to plan what I'd wear if I ever got my Dream Job Interview . My daydream also took me to a place where approx. $7,500 (USD) is readily available for ONE outfit. Anyway, let's not worry about that ~ in my daydreams there are no setbacks! I love P.O.C.'s (Pops of Color) just as much as anyone else, so the Burberry Westland Military Trench was my obvious choice. There's just something so clean and perfect about this yellow, black and white combo. I threw in the leather, green, Vince Camuto cuff in order to not make the whole look too matchy-matchy. You may think "It's alreay too matchy-matchy", but trust me, the P.O.C. on the green cuff adds some spice to this polished look & the *"Big Apple Red", O.P.I. polish will peek through perfectly with the lovely striped Giuseppe Zanotti heels. I added the adorable, Ted Baker skinny, bow belt to contrast the wide-leg trousers and once your trench comes off, it lends a cute feminine touch to the white blouse/black trouser look. Why'd I add Vintage Chanel accessories...WHY NOT?? Never question CHANEL ~ words to live by :) I had so much FUN putting this together on Polyvore, and as a bonus it took my mind off of monotonous work (and simultaneous job hunting - SHHH!) ~ a Sweet Escape, if you will. Ahhh...love it ;) Oh well, back to reality XOXO~ Jules *Remember, if you're also going to wear red on your fingernails, make sure your nails are nicely trimmed and not too long! Scary, red talons will make this dream outfit a NIGHTMARE! EEK! |
